Opera Philadelphia will preview its upcoming season with a free concert on June 20 at Dilworth Park.
The showcase will feature music from “Don Giovanni,” “The Anonymous Lover,” and “Songs from the Uproar.” Performers include Tanisha Anderson, Sophia Santiago, Lauren Cook, Matthew Coules, Steven Humes, Brenton Mattox-Scott, Michael Miller, Julie Snyder, Chorus Master Elizabeth Braden, and pianist Grant Loehnig.
“Opera Philadelphia is thrilled to return to Dilworth Park for our fifth consecutive year of free concert performances,” said Braden in an official press release. “We’ve always been greeted with enthusiastic crowds who come out to support Opera Philadelphia, hear some beautiful music, and learn about upcoming seasons in this beautiful setting at Philadelphia City Hall.”
Opera Philadelphia’s season opens on Sept. 25 with the American premiere of Missy Mazzoli’s “The Listeners.”
