Missy Mazzoli will be traveling to London in a few weeks for the UK premiere of Still Life with Avalanche, performed by the inimitable eighth blackbird as part of the Steve Reich Reverberations Festival at the Barbican.
Missy will team up with the Albany Symphony for their 2011/12 season as composer/mentor-in-residence. The ASO will give the premiere of a new arrangement of her orchestral work Violent, Violent Sea, and will premiere a brand new commission in May, 2012.
