Missy Mazzoli’s album Dark with Excessive Bright named one of the top 50 albums of 2023 by NPR. Dark with Excessive Bright was released in March of 2023 on BIS Records, and features violinist Peter Herresthal, conductor James Gaffigan, and the Bergen and Arctic Philharmonic Orchestras.
